I liked when the girls and boys jumped up and said hey ho but the girls jumped up first then boys.It was awsome fun. Jessica

I  liked it  when we did a leap frog because the seniors put their hands on our backs and we went through their legs. Asher

19/09/11 Party Time and Art Time

Party Time! On friday night year 3-4 had a disco in the new hall. The new hall has lots of windows and it stayed pretty light inside. We prefer it darker, but it is good for the littlies so they don't get scared. The music was really cool because it was fast and rocking. The seniors did all the music and picked some great songs.

The Disco was super cool . Kate

It should go for 3 hours. The prices should be lower. The food was yummy. Henry

Art Time! Last week people from the Art Gallery came to talk to us about Michel Tuffery. he is a New Zealander but his family is Samoan and he lives in Samoa. He creates animal illistrutations in black and white. They are aminals of the Pacific Islands and Samoa inparticular. We learned that they eat bats in Samoa, but only on special occasion like your birthday.

Here are some Michel Tuffery  pictures and the prints made of animals.

week of August 29

This week we are working on plays.

My play is called Island. I am a terra tiger. I hunt Seb and bryn . I jump out of my cave and swallow Seb. He is a killer kiwi. I go up to Bryn ans swallow him. He is a super snack (snake). I spit them out and say " you taste terrible". They run away.  MARCEL

My play is at the playground.  I fall off the monkeybars and I hurt my leg. The rest of the play is going to be continued. Zak

Week 2 Term 3- August 11, 2011

We have been working this week on explainations about the body. Like how the ears work. It is hard to explain. The parts  of the ear are: anvel, hammer, stirrup, ear drum, cochlea ( the big yellow thing that takes the vibration) and auditory nerve. So, first the sound waves from the people talking goes like a big message from the ear to the brain.

We got a buildable skeleton. We built it and did not know if it was a boy or a girl, so the teacher called it Sam, but we liked Funny Bones. We handed it off to room 13 and they are building it now.

We are writing our own explainations of the body.
