Week 9, September 26, 2010

Last week we made our calendar art using repeating patterns. It can go across or down with warm colors: red, yellow, pink, orange, purple, beige. The cold colors are: green, blue, black, brown. Then Mrs. Mckendry made a background with a dye-wash of a cold colors green and blue. Most people did blue.

It was quite fun because we all sat down got to choose our colors and patterns of circles and love hearts. I used pink and yellow for my warm colors. I used blue and green for cold colors. Bo

It was awsome because we got to do warm colours and cold colours.I chose for my warm colours pink, skin colour, yellow, red. For my cold colours grey, green, brown and blue.I liked it.Rhys

19/09/11 Party Time and Art Time

Party Time! On friday night year 3-4 had a disco in the new hall. The new hall has lots of windows and it stayed pretty light inside. We prefer it darker, but it is good for the littlies so they don't get scared. The music was really cool because it was fast and rocking. The seniors did all the music and picked some great songs.

The Disco was super cool . Kate

It should go for 3 hours. The prices should be lower. The food was yummy. Henry

Art Time! Last week people from the Art Gallery came to talk to us about Michel Tuffery. he is a New Zealander but his family is Samoan and he lives in Samoa. He creates animal illistrutations in black and white. They are aminals of the Pacific Islands and Samoa inparticular. We learned that they eat bats in Samoa, but only on special occasion like your birthday.

Here are some Michel Tuffery  pictures and the prints made of animals.
